So far the response from single Christians surveyed has been overwhelmingly in favor of only using Christian dating services that are owned and operated by Christians. With many referencing this famous verse:

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14 (NIV version)

“Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14 (American Standard version)

Our review editors also believe that, based on verses like 2Corinthians 6:14-18, a single Christian in effect forms a type of “yoked partnership” with the proprietors when he or she uses an online dating service. Trust and purity are part of that yoked partnership.
