1. Search Selection – based on size and demographics of the database of 46,000 “active” members (actually we found 53,540, during a recent search, but this number tends to fluctuate). That’s right, folks, there is a higher percentage of "active" members at SCN because the owner/founder, Clark, works very hard to encourage members to “actively” search the database and not just passively post a profile and leave the Christian dating network. He also diligently deletes inactive profiles to keep the database, well you guest it, very active! Depending on how active (or current) the profiles you wish to find, one of the search features at SCN is set up to allow you to choose profiles created within the past 24 hours. It is good to login at least once every five days so that you stay in the top search category of “active members logged in within the past 5 days”

But if you get busy, don’t feel that you must log-in everyday to check your SCN mail box, or you will miss someone who may be of interest you. SCN sends you a “mail-alert” to your regular email address (such as AOL, hotmail, yahoo-mail), telling you to come login whenever you have unchecked mail in your SCN mailbox.

Privacy/Safety – SCN is a gem when it comes to privacy of customer information and also the reliability of anonymous e-mail, (Chat and Instant Messaging is not considered since we recommend not relying on chat or IM to find a mate. A prayerful and careful, detailed search is best.) To cut down on any incidences of abuse each profile and account is carefully checked by a member of the SCN staff prior to adding it to the active database. Should you ever need to use it, you will find that the SCN system to BLOCK an unwanted person from seeing your profile also blocks them from ever sending you any messages.

Make sure your web browser is set to allow cookies and pop-up screens. It will optimize your use of the SCN system. For example: so that you do not have to re-enter/remember your search settings when you return to SCN; the system will save your last search settings for you as long as your browser is set to allow cookies.
